TOP 10: The most beautiful parks

TOP 10: The most beautiful parks
Wilanów

Tired? Check out some green places where you can spread out your picnic blanket.

1. Royal Łazienki Park

www.lazienki-krolewskie.pl

This royal extension located in the very heart of Warsaw is hard to miss. We highly recommend strolls through the wilder parts of the garden and Chopin concerts by the statue of Chopin taking place every Sunday at noon or 4 PM in the summertime.

2. Skaryszewski Park

Waszyngtona Roundabout

It is one of our favourite parks designed at the beginning of the 20th century to present the great variety of plants from different regions of Poland. You will find here beautiful art deco park sculptures as well. Skaryszak forms a greenery-filled complex with the adjoining Kamionkowskie Błonia Elekcyjne and allotments.

3. Saxon Garden

Piłsudskiego Sq

Antique, baroque extension, rather non-pretentious. A beautiful fountain located in the centre, lots of benches. Perfect for walks with dogs.

Ogród Saski

4. Wilanów

The Wilanów Palace

tickets: 5 PLN

Near the Baroque Palace in Wilanów, there is also a vast French-style park. However, we recommend that you go a bit further. The whole area is an expansive landscape establishment with numerous historical layers and exquisite nooks and crannies of natural value.

It has recently undergone revitalization. Now it is fenced and a bit tamed. Located in a heart of Warsaw. An ideal place to relax after a visit to the neighbouring POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews.

One of our favourite parks in Warsaw which combines nature and art. A department of the National Museum is located in the 18th-century palace. Excellent exhibitions.

8. Rydza Śmigłego Park

Skarpa Warszawska

ostwar extension created at Skarpa Wiślana. We highly recommend strolls here as such passage of greenery stretching along the river is a real phenomenon in the big city. The best way to enter the park is by wonderful stairs from the Three Crosses Square (next to Sheraton hotel). Downstairs there are two restaurants: Dyletanci – perfect for lunches and Na Lato if you want to have fun in the evening.

9. Pole Mokotowskie

Pole Mokotowskie metro station

Our Central Park, the biggest recreational park in Warsaw. It is not historical, greenery is nothing special, however, it is perfect for picnics, rollerskating, and other sports activities.

10. Kępa Potocka

Similar to Pole Mokotowskie, however, you can add canoeing to the list of sports activities. In the park, you can admire Maurycy Gomulicki’s neon “Lightspurt” (Światłotrysk). The one with pink champagne bubbles. We also recommend taking a stroll on picturesque streets of Żoliborz.
