At the turn of July and August, there is a real explosion of colours and richness at the market. Blueberries, huckleberries, raspberries, cherries, plums or apricots which you just cannot resist! Try them in different forms for example pastries and pierogis which we all recall with nostalgia from our childhood. Find out where you will find the best offer.
CUKIERNIA PAWŁOWICZ, Chmielna St 13
You can smell this place from a distance. Everything is baked here on the spot, still warm, not expensive, a “huckleberry streetfood” option so to say. A good ratio of dough to huckleberries.
MISS MELLOW, Wilcza St 62
A recently opened excellent patisserie where the owner takes care of every single detail. Grab seasonal tartlets or huckleberry buns. Additionally, there are many various tempting options in the offer: a brioche toast with seasonal fruits (currently peach & cream with peppermint), crumb pie with apricots and galatte with seasonal fruits.
HALA MIROWSKA, stall #49, next to Holly Bread – a small passage with a roof next to the first hall
There is nothing better than eating something seasonal in the vicinity of a place where you can buy all the ingredients. We recommend small huckleberry or raspberry buns by weight. One is not enough! Now they have a small holiday break till 8th August.
PIEROGIS AND DUMPLINGS WITH FRUIT
PRZEGRYŹ, Mokotowska St 52
This bistro has always been famous for its delicious pierogis. Now you can try them with huckleberries and cream. And in the morning grab a huckleberry bun!
SCHABOWY, Obrzeżna St 1
This bistro specializes in Polish cuisine. Now it is time for pierogis with huckleberries (see photo above) or cherries, dumplings (not only with plums), and fruit soups which some of us may remember from our childhood days.
LE’PIĘ, Topiel St 12
A place famous for pierogis. It combines tradition with modernity and offers original tastes. Also fruit option. Worth trying!
