Warsaw is now…

Different than when I moved here from Amsterdam in the end of 2010. It’s a city I left in 2004 and it’s nothing like it was then. I hope that in a few years it won’t develop into a copy of western European metropoli, that it will keep it’s character.

Your favorite place in Warsaw?

I really like the parks: Morskie Oko, Rydza-Śmigłego Park, the square behind the Music Academy where you can hear students practicing. I also like to go to Czarne Publishing house’s bookshop near Plac Zbawiciela.

Where would you recommend a tourist to go to listen to good music?

To Pardon To Tu, Cafe Kulturalna and the National Audiovisual Institute. In the summers, to the Chopin monument – I don’t agree when people say it’s nothing special, I love going there. And definitely to the Vistula.
