It is not only a climatic local bistro but also a place where you can learn Italian, watch a movie with your friends or organise a garage sale.
These cozy estates have their indisputable charm. Or maybe we are getting older, but we prefer such low, three-, four storey buildings. Even if apartments tend to be tiny, we often get a backyard with a garden, greenery and small shops in the package. That is why we immediately fell in love with this place located on the ground floor in Księcia Trojdena Street. Large window displays, wide windowsills, chess board columns. A host of Miło [eng. Nice] – Kasia Klimaszewska – is an architect and she immediately saw the potential of this place. She has been working in her profession for 20 years now. She is still in business and designs tables under the Willamiłość brand.
When kids appeared, she started thinking of a day room where mums could pleasantly spend time – eat breakfast, learn a foreign language, come with dogs. You must know she is a real torpedo girl so the idea had to work out.
Let’s talk a bit about Kaśka’s charisma. In our opinion, this feature of character is key to the success of such local day rooms. She is on site all the time, smiled, energetic, she can come to terms with neighbours as regards opening hours and an outdoor garden. She also rents students of the nearby Medical Academy workshop space in the basement free of charge so that they could organise there a movie discussion club. They will order some craft beer or food at the bar anyway so it is a good deal.
Kasia is a vegan and she cannot imagine any other meal options at her bistro. The food is so delicious that even meat-eaters do not realise it is all about vegetables here. We ate a scrumptious sweet and spicy grilled sandwich with nut butter, sambal, mango, cucumber, and spinach.
Before Miło it used to be Kontakt Cafe here. Before that, electronics shop and at the very beginning a butchery. Today vegan bistro reigns.
