Whew! Finally, we can stop being jealous of Kwiaty&Miut in Poznań. Now we have our Kwiatostan Warszawski in Solec.
This tiny flower shop has been operating in Przemysłowa Street since November. However, we have only just discovered it when preparing our guide on Powiśle and Solec.
It is quite an interesting neighbourhood, perfect for living. There is Rozbrat Street but also the nearby streets, for example, Fabryczna and Przemysłowa. Here you can find all the best what Solec has to offer: a unique cluster of pre-war and post-war architecture, low-rise buildings, intimate cafés, flower shops, old craftsman workshops. There are fewer tourists here, more ordinary everyday life. Sitting on Sunday in Fabryczna café, looking at all these youngsters and the elderly who come here to read newspapers, drink a cup of coffee and eat a cake, we felt truly comfortable.
Modest, yet elegant flower workshop fits here perfectly. The host of Kwiatostan Kasia Jachna has an excellent taste. The interior is of her own creation. She was collecting furniture and decorative elements for her future flower shop for some time. A large wooden table from her neighbours, an industrial lamp or a vintage chest of drawers maybe would not suit an ordinary flat however, it seems that they have found their own place here. Carefully selected jars, vases, flower pots it all taken together creates a warm and home-like atmosphere.
Kasia worked as a manager, culture animator and flowers have always been her passion. She attended workshops and apprenticed in flower shops. There were times when she used to finish an event which she organised in Regeneracja and just after it she headed at 2 AM to the flower market in Bakalarska Street. She was totally hooked.
There are not many places in Warsaw where we can make such subtle bouquets. Now it is time for daffodils, anemones, buttercups, carnations, and jasmine in pots. This place is worth visiting. Positive mood guaranteed.
