On the occasion of the third anniversary of Autor Rooms, Maria Jeglińska designed a new object that will enrich the Hotel Essentials collection – a glass vase which she called “The Vase Man”.
“The Vase Man” has a high chance of becoming an object of desire for design collectors. The vases are crafted of borosilicate glass with a great attention to details. They come in two versions. The transparent vases are in the permanent collection, whereas the yellow ones are made in a limited edition of only 20 pieces.
Guest rooms at Autor Rooms – a boutique B&B created by Mamastudio – are filled with Polish design and art. In the interiors of a tenement house on Lwowska Street, next to the classics of design, guests can admire objects designed exclusively for this place by such brands like Beza Projekt, Balagan Studio, ZuoCorp or Vasina.
For the Hotel Essentials collection, Maria Jeglińska has already created glasses, a jug, a wooden tray, mirrors. The vases in anthropomorphic shapes are the continuation of her recent projects. The object resembles a human being, standing firmly on the ground, says Maria Jeglińska. We can distinguish an oblong and massive body, while a concave bottom represents legs. Two handles, which are in a shape of tubes, may bring to mind hands. The user decides himself how the head of the vase will look like and what kind of aura this piece will evoke. This way you can interact with the object and also be a part of its creation.
Maria Jeglińska is one of the most renowned Polish designers. She creates furniture, lighting, design objects, graphics, textile. She also designs exhibitions. She has been featured in our album “Warszawa Warsaw”. Read what she said about Warsaw where she had been living since 2012.
