A new exhibition at the National Museum is like a sweet bubble where we can immerse ourselves for a moment in a peaceful middle-class life. The Biedermeier style was born in the German-speaking countries after the Congress of Vienna (1815) and lasted until the Spring of Nations (1848). This style was present mainly in Austria and Germany but also on the Polish lands. More than 400 artefacts are featured in the exhibition: paintings, furniture, glassware, porcelain, textiles, clothing, jewellery and trinkets, toys, which will bring you closer to the climate of the period. The exhibition is open from Thursday. We recommend curatorial walk-through with Anna Kozak and Agnieszka Rosales Rodríguez. Tickets: 20 PLN.
