2.03. Weekend is finally here!

An opening of Edi Hila’s exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, The Game at Progresja. There is already sold out concert of Amp Fiddler. Maybe try looking for some second-hand tickets.

FRIDAY, 2.03

6:30 PM – JANEK MIODUSZEWSKI’S PERFORMANCE AT THE VERNISSAGE AT SALON AKADEMII GALLERY – Krakowskie Przedmieście St 5, entrance from Traugutta St
A performance accompanying the “Większy niż szafa” exhibition. Paweł Bołtryk Heban, Maciek Duchowski, Arkadiusz Karapuda, Janusz Oskar Knorowski and Tomasz Milanowski among others. Admission free.

7 PM – EDI HILA. PAINTER OF TRANSFORMATION AT MUSEUM OF MODERN ART – Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie St 22
An opening of the first retrospective exhibition of an Albanian painter Edi Hila one of the most interesting artists from Eastern Europe. A vernissage will last till 10 PM so that we will be able to visit the Zachęta Gallery, the Centre for Contemporary Art and the Museum on the Vistula. Admission free.

7 PM – OPENING OF CHOREOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION “FREE GESTURES” BY ULA SICKLE –  Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art
The first individual exhibition of Ula Sickle, a Canadian artist of the Polish origin, presented at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art. The starting point is the question of how ideologies become incorporated into our bodies and language. The exhibition will be activated by a group of dancers for five hours each day (photo above).

7 PM – “WILD AT HEART” AT ZACHĘTA GALLERY – PORTRAITS AND SELF-PORTRAITS AFTER 1989 – Małachowskiego Sq 3
The backbone of the exhibition “Wild at Heart” is the collection of the ING Polish Art Foundation which gathers the works by the Polish living artists created post 1990. We will see works by Agata Bogacka, Tymek Borowski, Olaf Brzeski, Piotr Janas, Łukasz Korolkiewicz, Tomasz Kowalski, Marcin Maciejowski, Przemysław Matecki, Paulina Ołowska, Karol Radziszewski, Joanna Rajkowska, Zbigniew Rogalski, Wilhelm Sasnal, Alina Szapocznikow and Radek Szlaga.

9 PM – FISZ EMADE TWORZYWO AT HYBRYDY – Złota St 7/9
As a support at 8:15 PM we will see Pablo Hudini and Teielte aka Wespół. Tickets: 65 PLN

11:30 PM – NASTIA AT KLUB SMOLNA – Smolna St 38
Nastia – a Ukrainian DJ, producer, promoter and an owner of the Propaganda label. Tickets: 40 PLN.

SATURDAY, 3.03

7 PM – OPENING OF ADAM ADACH’S EXHIBITION AT BWA WARSZAWA – Jakubowska St 16
The recent paintings “Demos and Demons” by Adam Adach have been inspired by his personal voyages through the problem of the today’s world, plagued by rising inequality, migration crises, pollution and environmental destruction.

8:30 PM – KURWS AT KLUB CH25 – Chłodna St 25
Their recent album “Alarm” has been released a few months ago by Gustaff Records. Let’s go and listen to them. Tickets: 20 PLN.

8 PM – THE GAME AT PROGRESJA – Fort Wola St 22
A Californian rapper promotes his ninth studio album. Tickets: 140 PLN.

10 PM – SYRIA MUSIC AID AT BAR STUDIO – Palace of Culture and Science, Studio Theatre
Collected money from the event will be donated to medicine and medical help of the Syrian refugees in the north of Liban. Admission: 10 PLN.

SUNDAY, 4.03

10 AM – 4 PM – VINTAGE SUNDAY AT HALA GWARDII

10 AM – 19th WARSAW MANIFA – start at Defilad Square
An annual demonstration organized in the name of women’s rights. Let’s go!

6 PM – OPENING OF KAROLINA BREGUŁA’S EXHIBITION “SKWER” AT KRÓLIKARNIA – Puławska 113 a
Monuments and public space reflect the collective memory of the community. When a sculpture hidden in the bushes that grow in a square begins to make its presence felt, the town dwellers face a confrontation with the past. Individual experiences may vary, yet the fear of the repressed turns out to be common.
