A bonus to Warsaw is the amount of greenery. You can walk the Warsaw Escarpment through the city center not leaving any park (head down from Plac Trzech Krzyży). You can run through Pole Mokotowski every morning with a panorama of the city’s skyscrapers. Łazienki Królewskie and the neighboring Botanical Gardens are the pearl of Warsaw’s parks. We recommend the Chopin concerts by the composer’s monument (download the app Chopin in Warsaw) and visit the weavery Manufaktura Królewska.
But the real gem is Skaryszewski Park by Waszyngtona Roundabout, a park dating back to the 20th century, with gorgeous garden sculptures from the 1920s, lakes and cafe. Definitely dropby the nearby garden plots on Kinowa. They are a Polish phenomenon – recreational garden plots for workers during communist times that serve them and their childern till today. The owners grow fruit, vegetables, dove lofts – each one is like it’s own little universe.
